Our pledge#
We as members, contributors and maintainers pledge to make participation in the project a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
Expected behaviour#
- Be respectful of differing viewpoints and experience. Technical disagreement is welcome; contempt is not.
- Give and accept constructive feedback gracefully. Review comments are about the code.
- Take responsibility for mistakes, apologise to those affected, and learn from the experience.
- Focus on what is best for the community, not only for yourself.
Unacceptable behaviour#
- Sexualised language or imagery, and unwelcome sexual attention.
- Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks.
- Public or private harassment.
- Publishing others' private information without explicit permission.
- Any conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.
Scope#
This applies within all project spaces — issues, pull requests, discussions, commit messages — and when an individual is officially representing the project in public.
Reporting#
Report abusive, harassing or otherwise unacceptable behaviour to the maintainers through GitHub. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.
Maintainers are obligated to respect the privacy and security of the reporter.
Enforcement#
Maintainers will follow the Contributor Covenant's enforcement ladder — correction, warning, temporary ban, permanent ban — in proportion to the violation.
